So, track 7 ... should it be Pelicin Yoshi Athletic or Pelican Yoshi Athletic?

track 26 vocals
What is supposed to be the credit for the vocals on track 26? Two of the characters are entered as question mark; if if's not a person's name, what does it say? I don't speak Japanese, and I tried to transcribe it, and failed. Hard.
It would be the second line of track 26, image Booklet 3-4. 歌は[?]田[?]之、ピアノ、アレンジは若井淑。 Sung by [what], piano, arrangement by Hajime Wakai. |

Seems like it's 橋田貴之 (Takayuki Hashida)

Here's a source for game sources. I'm saving it here, since it doesn't belong in the translator field.

I set it back to Pelican Yoshi Athletic, since pelicin is not a word. Not sure what Prime Blue originally stated why he used it.

He used "Pelicin" because "Pelican" is usually ペリカン, not ペリキン as the tracklist uses.

... doesn't that say "Pelikin", though? It could just be misspelled on purpose.
Edit: This is from Yoshi's Story, so it could be an enemy name. Last edited by Foxhack; Dec 14, 2012 at 04:41 PM. |

Or "Perikin," etc. It's a made-up name. I probably wouldn't have gone with "Pelicin" myself because I see that and pronounce it with a soft c, but I was just reposting Prime Blue's now-deleted reasoning.

Just out of curiosity, can anybody translate who are the members of the "After Five" group on track 25?

I think "ペリキン" means "Perrey and Kingsley".
Japansese: ペリー&キングスレイ Music like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHphKyoO09g Perrey-King, Perrey-Kin or Perikin (Romaji) |

For the translation, I'd go with "Perrey-King. Yoshi Athletic" to address the abbreviation itself while still informing people of the word's origin, or "Perikin Yoshi Athletic" if you specifically want to address the fact that the duo seems to be famous enough in Japan to get its own four-kana abbreviation. Out of sheer curiosity: how'd you come upon that one? That is, how did you find out about this relatively obscure duo of composers? |

Perrey & Kingsley are the main Google hit for ペリキン besides the Yoshi's Story song, it's apparently a common nickname for the duo

CHz is right. And I was convinced after listening to the music.
