Were the two arrangers listed so far mentioned at the CAVE offline Maturi?

Unlike the previous all-star line up, all the arrangement is totally managed by the duo unit (called RESONATOR), consisting of Kenji Ito and Kohta Takahashi, so they were the only arrangers announced so far, yet those only involved.

Interesting. A bit confused, but maybe it's just wording. Are they the only ones arranging or are they the ones choosing arrangers since they are in charge of it?

Sorry if it's confusing, but I don't think they're in the position to select arrangers (but who knows).

Ah, ok. Only time will tell I guess. Still, an entire album arranged by Kenji Ito and Kohta Takahashi, especially one with music like DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu sounds intriguing, if not odd as well haha.

A bit confusing, why is one of the subtitles "DoDonPachi Ressurection"? That's the iPhone game, completely arranged by Kenichi Maeyamada and Shocihiro Hirata (SUPALOVE). I guess that subtitle should be removed?

I think Dai Fukkatsu means Resurrection (or Revival) in Japanese.

It is certainly quite a break from the usual Geondan all-star albums, but I guess it's because this release most surely isn't an arrange album per se, but an "arranged soundtrack", just like Ketsui and Galuda II BL; there would certainly be much disparity in music, otherwise.
I hope it's nothing like the IPhone's exclusive soundtrack (is that even a soundtrack to a DDP game? looks like more from Pink Sweets or the like), but it's high unlikely. Quite pleased to see Khota on here; I enjoyed his contributions on the previous Cave albums.

I asked Takahashi on Twitter if only Ito and he were arranging and his response was:

kohta09

@DonKotowski thanks, Mr.Kotowski. Yes. It's just the two of us! We enjoy our own kind of freedom.

Definitely interesting.. but if the game's not region-free I think I have to pass :/

Although the booklet doesn't say who arranged what (maybe it does in the liner notes, I'm not sure), I asked Takahashi and he said Ito only arranged the Boss 1 theme. Hearing some of these arrangements, you could have fooled me!

They certainly went with a very relaxed & chill mood on this album.
Almost too much so, like music to fall asleep with.

I did enjoy that they made Stage 4A+B in a MSX Gradius/Salamander style though, just like old school Konami!

Hmm... Very hard to believe indeed! I think I'll stick with just "RESONATOR" since somehow I'm unsure that's true.

I like that actually. The melodies are strong enough to support it without the in-your-face instrumentation. Very novel approach that works imo.

Takahashi said it's in the liner notes as to the reason, so feel free to scan and upload them to get confirmation. I don't see why he would lie to me though .

This album could also be called "Cave MIDI Power Pro". While I'm not sure if it's MIDI, it sounds remarkably similar to Konami's MIDI Power Pro albums.

In fact, this sounds more like original game music, and the actual soundtrack sounds more like arranged vgm. The retrogression is actually very fun to listen to, I think. The next step is a chiptuned DDP DAI FUKKATSU.

Your wish may come true. From what I can tell, CAVE has an online survey right now regarding the possibility of an 8bit arrange album.

Well the ending theme really brought some nostalgia from Gradius II (Gofer no Yabō) ending theme.

This album is on the way to my doorstep. I will scan liner notes once it arrives.
