I changed the release date of this album to April 15, 2009 as that is the date that Team Entertainment's site lists for this album.

Would anyone be able to translate the tracklisting before its release? It'd be much appreciated.

I translated what I could. There were a few I couldn't figure out via online translators, but the others made a lot of sense. Feel free to make any corrections.

Translated the rest and synchronized some with the Disgaea 3 soundtrack.

The Kanji for Lonely Room does not match up between the soundtracks, plus it sounds a bit different on the samples at CDJapan than Lonely Room. SHould we change it back to Father's Dreary Room?

ひとりぼっち is just the hiragana reading of 一人ぼっち; they mean the same thing (alone by yourself, lonely). There's no "father" in there.

Ah. No problem. Thanks for the explanation.

Gigablah, are you sure the intentional Hiragana typing of it wasn't done to set up the potential for a play on words? If you've played the game, "Father's Dreary Room" certainly works within the context, and "Lonely Room" works just as well. Just wondering...

I'm curious how Don arrived at that translation, myself. Maybe you could elaborate?

I just plugged it into Google Translate and that's what it gave me. When I plugged Lonely Room's kanji into Google Translate, it spit out something different.
Altavista gives this however: Disgaea 3: Raspbery - Room of one person [bo] [tsu] [chi] Disgaea 3 - Room of loneliness Last edited by Don; Apr 14, 2009 at 12:03 PM. |

Google translate focused on the ち, and assumed it must be short for Chichi, or father. It's definitely not a good translation, and I don't even think it would work as a play on words.

Well, that definitely clears things up once and for all.
I also suspect that the difference in kanji usage may come from the fact that the track in question is an arrangement of the original on this OST. |

I was informed that this soundtrack was released because it was based mainly on the music scores created for the online expansion chapters for the game, so I went ahead and ordered it. I've already owned the OST for a few months now so there wouldn't have been any point if it was just a replica of the OST.

Alot of new material found on this soundtrack, an excellent purchase I think.
