What's the reason behind this release? Are they planning on releasing the Kunio-kun soundtracks on cd now?

Considering the announced price tag I guess this is going to be quite a big set, probably with music from several of the games.

I already preordered it, it's going to be a 5 CD set release containing the soundtrack for all the Famicom Kunio-kun games. I updated the info accordingly.

I added the cover, there is another one that should be deleted. The cover is terrible! I was expecting gorgeous art with characters from all the famicom Kuniokun games... What a let down.

That must be some kind of placeholder art

the car doesn't even fit the kunio artwork style

I thought the same, but that cover is appearing in many japanese online stores now. Then, I thought about the car and remembered the first game in the series on Famicom: Nekketsu Kouha Kuniokun

There you've got the car, in the friggin' title screen! The font used matches the one in the cover too...

Changed the number of CDs from 5 to 4, added track information from the scan to the album notes. I'll try to add a tracklist when my copy arrives.

Added tracklists for all the CDs. Damn, I hate it when they don't give credit for the composers, it only says TECHNOS JAPAN in the liner notes. Should we put only that in the composers field? I know that Kazuo Sawa is the main composer for most of the games, I know some of the other composers for some games, but maybe we would need to do a bit of research for being sure on some of the later games in the series.

I'll be adding what I know in the notes section.

Well, we could always start with going through the games and read the credits

Yeah, I think we'll only need to do that for Kunio-kun no Nekketsu Soccer League and Nekketsu! Street Basket: Ganbare Dunk Heroes.

Unhappy

Fluently checking I found an error in translation of the track.. and then more and more. I just needed a translation of a part - "IKE IKE - Nekketsu Hockey.." but then..

added later I found the errors.. But later understood that can edit it by myself... But decided to leave the post, maybe someone will help me with it.
That's funny not Japanese nor English are my native..

3cd - #30
対熱血高校剣道部のテーマ
The theme of Nekketsu High School vs. Kendo

Kendo (剣道, kendō), meaning "Way of The Sword", is a modern Japanese martial art of sword-fighting

http://translate.google.com/#auto|en|対熱血高校剣道部のテーマ

cd3#51. 400mハードル
400m hurdles - kinda obvious

cd3#53. Medla Acquisition

Stupid typo, and so on... I think it should be done all over again.. Maybe it shouldn't be done at all, just leave it as it is - Japanese

Just submitted some revision to the tracklist, might have missed a couple things but fixed some errors along with some syntax stuff. Also disc 3 track 46 uses Antonio Vivaldi's Spring Movement of The Four Seasons and Ludwig van Beethoven's 5th Symphony before the original music part.

Does anybody know a shop/outlet that still has this in stock? It seems gone from all the places I shop at (CDJapan, Play-Asia and YesAsia).

Items sold directly from Amazon Japan usually ship to overseas addresses.

Ah, just received it from Amazon.
So if I understand correctly, all WaveMaster albums are manufactured in Taiwan, and those with thick/double cases come with either no factory seal or a crappy top/bottom heat-sealed shrinkwrap (not a nice sleek seal with tearstrip).

Now I get why their releases feel a bit cheaper than the rest
