Some of Nomiya's early history, according to his comments in GOLDEN AXE THE MUSIC (I hope I didn't get any of the translation wrong).
He joined SEGA about 3 or 4 years before GOLDEN AXE: THE DUEL released on SEGA SATURN, which would be 1991/1992. He mentioned having worked on PUZZLE & ACTION: TANT-R and AS-1, as well as other arcade games, with GOLDEN AXE: THE DUEL being his first non-arcade game.

Unrelated to this, on Hitmaker Sound Page COLUMN Vol.72, Nanae Kenda introduces Makito Nomiya with the representative work "Vampire", which is likely Vampire Night, a 2001 NAMCO-published game developed by SEGA's WOW ENTERTAINMENT, which Nomiya was of course a member of.
