So this is my first SM Record submission. There is literally no track list included (the "booklet" is blank inside) so I figured it better not to just arbitrarily copy the track list from the original release.

That's one way to save on production costs. Does the music on the CD match the music on the official non-bootleg version?

If it does have the same tracks, we should mark it as a reprint and put up a tracklist with the tracktimes, but no titles (or just "Untitled".)

I don't have the disc with me at the moment and did not compare one-for-one, but I've listened to it many times and am 99% sure the tracks match the original.

I'm open to however you want to categorize it, but what does reprint mean in this context? Would all bootlegs be considered reprints then, or only if they had the same tracklist as the original? Also, whats the difference between "tracknames" and "titles"? Thanks.

Usually, the bootleg counts as a reprint. The only cases where it doesn't are where they add tracks (or in some cases, leave tracks off.)

Tracknames and titles are the same thing. I was just talking about track times.

Doh, for some reason I read "tracktimes" as "tracknames". Makes sense now.

One note:

I intentionally left off the "INSTRUMENTS" section from the notes as these are not specified anywhere on the Sonmay release. I see that they've been added, but not sure if this what we want to do.

> INSTRUMENTS
> EMULATOR II D-50
> YAMAHA DX7 II FD REV 7 KX-76
> OBERHEIM MATRIX 12 PC-9801 KX-76
> SEQUENCIAL PROPHET 5 RCX-PC 98
> AKAI S1000 SBX-80 S900
> ROLAND D550 MKS80

Sorry for the double post.

All of that information comes from the parent album automatically. I cleared the notes field for the bootleg, since it was all duplication anyway. It should remain because there's nothing untrue about it for the bootleg.

For the original prints, the booklet consisted of a fold-out poster (featuring all album info) housed in an booklet without any pages (the inside being blank). It was a fairly common type of packaging back in the 80s.

So I guess SM just left out the poster part then. But it's safe to assume that, if the number of tracks is the same, the cd is an direct copy.

Yes, that's how they should be added. Nice job with the scans. I think having scans up for the bootlegs is critical for helping the public learn to identify them.
