Where did the spelling 禎清弘 of this guy's name come from? I think it should be 禎清宏, which is given on the site of Pure Sound, his company. He's credited on the Zakura no Aji soundtrack and the game is on the works list (ざくろの味, 1995-12-12 SGC release), so I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.

I added him but I honestly can't remember where it came from. Looks like the 弘 is wrong. And this guy is even listed on GMCL.

According to GMCL, Ohtani did music for Wizardry Empire 1 & 2 for the PSX, as well as Jikuu Bouken Zentrix for the PS2. I couldn't find any credits for any of those games, so I can't verify that, but this Wizardry Empire fan page gives the music samples to him.

maybe you guys mused over this already -- according to snesmusic, he is also known as Kyohei Sada, however GMCL disagrees and I'm unable to find any other evidence for or against. thoughts?

edit: found this, so i guess mythbusted and whatever. now, if only snesmusic would acknowledge correction emails....

Talking to me directly may help as well. =P Will ask internally who did that suggestion.

It seems that the SNES game Spark World credits the sound programmer as Kyohei Sada of Pure Sound: http://gdri.smspower.org/wiki/index....ory_Archive_01. That's not 100% definitive, but it's the most convincing link I've found between Kiyohiro and Kyohei.

Also: Kiyohiro Sada worked with Masako Inata on the SNES version of Yuuyu no Quiz de Go! Go!, and Kyohei Sada worked with Inata on the SNES game Ushio to Tora.

I've been a doubter that Kiyohiro = Kyohei for a long time, but it's seeming pretty possible to me now.

So my question is...is this Kyopi? We have no evidence for or against.

The other Kiyos in Pure Sound are generally credited with sound effects and production roles, not music composition, so Kiyohiro Sada is the likeliest suspect. But as you say, I don't think there's any evidence beyond the name similarity.

Pure Sound's homepage has a news entry for some album based on Idol Hakkenden, a Kyohei Sada game, and it says that Kiyohiro Sada participated in the game (although all the music on the disc is by Tomoo Misato).

Quote:
当社代表、禎清宏が、かつて開発にたずさわったファミコンソフト『アイドル八犬伝』(1989)の音楽CD が
HOEHOE RECORDSさんから発売されました!
There's another entry that just mentions the existence of the second Natsume compilation album by Clarice Disk, and the games Idol Hakkenden, Abadox, and SCAT are all name-dropped. Those are all Kyohei Sada games.

So there's that.

Adding to the pile of evidence: Kiyohiro Sada's Facebook profile says he worked at Konami from 1986 to 1989.

Oh also, Kiyohiro Sada's Twitter account is @kyohei_sada. So.

Hey everyone,

I'm digging up an old topic here, but I had some doubts about KYOPI being Kiyohiro Sada as it is said above (MobyGames credits Kyôko Nakamura, also working at PureSound Inc.), so I sent him a message.
He answered today and confirmed that he is not KYOPI, and Nakamura is.
I think some people already knows it, but we never know, if it can be of any use.
