Default Notes in sale list

Could we possibly make it mandatory to have notes added to each album put up for sale? Seeing that an album I want is for sale but it has no notes or price is kind of annoying. I don't enjoy having to guess if an album is complete, what condition it's in, if it has the obi, etc. and it's not exactly ideal to PM a seller each time I want to know these things. Not to toot my own horn, but the way I do mine would be a perfectly fine standard for sellers to follow.

Mandatory notes would just act as a temporary solution until the Marketplace gets some kind of upgrade to support, for example, a dropdown menu for picking an album's condition and completeness, and maybe a check box if the obi is included or not. Just an idea.

You have a good point, but I am hesitant to force anyone to do anything, as this leads to unexpected results. In this case, you could get around the requirement by cutting and pasting some useless text into all the notes fields so that you could submit.

Why can't we just have checkboxes for this kind of stuff? For example, "Booklet", "Obi", "Sticker(s)", "Other", and maybe a "Condition" checkbox that sort of expands if you fill the box, where you can put in (or chose from a dropdown-list) the quality of the release in a scale from 1-10.

This would ofcourse, only be optional checkboxes.

I think ultimately, checkboxes and dropdowns will be the way to go. Does anyone use any of the other disc collection sites (Discogs? etc.) How do they handle condition and completeness?
