I'm not sure why everyone likes Nier, I find it's mostly filler garbage and noise with some decent tracks mixed throughout. And the chorus songs are dull and uninspired. I'll buy this, though, because it won't have any of that

What's with you, having similar opinions with me lately. This is horrifying. :P

Anyways, I might get this, depending who's doing the arrangement job.

Everyone likes Nier for a reason: because it's wonderful.

I agree.

However, the game itself is awesome.

I love the sound of the words, personally. I call it "aural language porn". The music itself is pretty repetitive, granted, with a huge swath of circle of forths over and over....so I imagine a piano collection may not be all that.

Well, I thought I was the only one, but at least now I know I'm not. We can stop bashing the music in the thread now, I think

I didn't really like the DLC & Arranged album but strangely enough I think a piano album will lack the spirit of the soundtrack.

"Gods Bound By Rules" & "Shadowlord" are my favorite arrangements so far; not really fond of the "Grandma" arrangement. But so far it's a good album, probably 3.5 or 4 out of 5. But honestly I'd prefer still to just listen to the original, so these tracks probably won't get many plays from me.

Well the last two tracks absolutely kill the album. Mono? WTF?

It's funny you say that, because I came here to specifically say that I thought the last two tracks made the album.

I found it rather unique how they played with the themes of the last two songs and applied them to the compositions. (Automatons had an electronic "interference" about it and Ashes felt like an old song with it's monaural mix and filter over it playing on the theme of the song being about the past. The creakiness of the piano player's seat also added character.)

=p
