How many of these people were actual employees of Hudson, and how many were contractors?

For example, Tomoyuki Hamada was part of T's Music by the time he worked on Super Bomberman and a few other Hudson games (T's Music is even credited in a couple of them). I wouldn't consider him part of Hudson.

Likewise, I'm pretty sure that all of the folks who worked on Bomberman 64: The Second Attack, Mitsuda and co., were all freelancing.

Meh, I was going with a more quantitative, less time-consuming approach based on how thorough the other units were.

Here's the well-knowns
-Jun Chikuma http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...loperId,82620/
-Hironao Yamamoto http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,128951/
-Shohei Bando http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,125935/
-Yasuhiko Fukuda http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...loperId,80658/
-Kazuhiko Sawaguchi http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,101821/
-->FUN FACT: Sawaguchi made a sole contribution to Sonic Shuffle: it's this one.
-Ichiro Shimakura http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,454913/
-Keita Hoshi http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...loperId,62340/

And the lesser knowns
-Hajime Ohara http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...loperId,95700/
-Aya Tanaka http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,128332/
-Hironobu Yahata http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,162508/
-Yoshihiro Tsukahara http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,275421/
-Takeaki Kunimoto http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,153634/
-Daisuke Inoue http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,247136/

And the questionable ones
-Shinya Yano http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/credit/88428.html
-Shinya Outouge/Ohtogue http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...operId,162509/
-Tomoyuki Hamada http://www.mobygames.com/developer/s...loperId,82621/

Hmm... are Yano (Pocket Bomberman) and Outouge/Ohtouge (Mario Party 6 and 7) the same person?

I don't think (can hardly believe) other unit entries so easily include artists as you're doing here, but if any, please let us know, since it's just an inflated member list to be fixed ASAP.

Also, I'm afraid MobyGames isn't a definitive source. For instance, this page just lists and tells the publishers of the games Yasuhiko Fukuda has scored, but it gave almost nothing else. A company can always ask a freelance composer to score their games and make some contracts on compensation, time scheme, rights and what not, so one can, without actually being employed, keep working with a particular company, and isn't it the way Yasuhiko Fukuda is doing?

To conclude who is part of which, I think the presence of the title is one good indicator. Someone is listed with (Hudson Soft Company, Ltd.), then I think it's for the most part safe to say he/she is part of Hudson. Perhaps could you spend more time in examining the staff credits or the booklet credits?

Hayato Matsuo also worked on some capcom games (Let's Smash/Centre Court Tennis, Kabuki Ittoryodan), though he too may have been contracted.
