title matches cover, but check the back. in fact, i was told we prefer obis and the like over title covers, especially one that's so dependent on logos like this one?

I don't think we necessarily prefer obis. There are some cases where the obi is better, but others where it is deficient. The same is true of the spine, where I usually give the example of my Beethoven Sonatas CD, where the spine title is not informative enough.
