Default Replace (Private) collections with one row

Under the 'view collections' page for a specific entry we currently list '(Private)' several times, which is kind of stupid when you think about it. Couldn't we somehow replace all of these with just one line on the top or the bottom of the 'view collections' page? I was thinking of something like, maybe; 'x private collections contains this album'.

Alternately, we could just not show them at all.

Okay, private albums (and albums directly in private folders) do not show up in the list.

Hmm, it seems like the private collections are still being counted in the "contained in x collections" text.

Example: http://vgmdb.net/album/10241

Maybe you wanted it that way, though?

Yeah, I know about that. I don't have any way around it right now that doesn't add a lot more complexity or have other side effects. I can probably figure something out, but for now I'll put a notice up that tells you if there are hidden private albums.

Also, it's probably silly to hide your own albums from yourself, so that's something else I should fix.

All I have to say is I disagree with not listing private collections. It should be in the form of '# private collections' though, yes.

I don't mind what you end up doing, I'm fine with both. So, I guess if this is 'more' doable, then do this.

Why are you against hiding private collections? Other than for statistical reasons I see no reason why you need '# private collections' to be visible.

Firstly, it would look odd for the list of collections not to reflect the amount of collections the album is contained in (unless private albums are to be removed from that count.) Secondly, You would be unable to tell if the lack of collections on the list was due to them being private or a bug (shouldn't ever happen, but could.) Third and lastly, there's really no reason NOT to do it, it's not a time consuming change.

So, any more thoughts put into this? Or are you going to keep it as it is now? It feels like it could need some more improvement.

I just thought that it'd be better if we didn't have the text there at all, or changed it to the amount of hidden albums. Like we said, something like "# private collections contains this album".

The problem is that if you didn't show the text at all, it'd be counted anyways in the "contained in # collections" text (and apparently you didn't have any solution for this). So I'd go with the second suggestion here.
