Does anyone know if Dave Wise has composed anything since the N64?

Star Fox Adventure, Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA, Viva Piñata Pocket Paradise, War World, Sorcery, recently Tengami and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. That there aren't any soundtrack releases is no indication of a composer's output.

Have just been listening to the newly released Tengami OST. Interesting to note that some of these tunes were re-done for his Tropical Freeze soundtrack.

New interview with him wherein he reveals he did not write the Battletoads pause theme and comments on rappers who have sampled his music.

Do we know which tracks Wise composed for DKC: Tropical Freeze? I know he's the main composer, for one thing.

Better question would be what tracks were written by the Japanese? Wise was the lead composer, and majority of the tracks sound like his. Also, any track with a lead sax is 100% his, too.

I have a hinch that akin to Kenji Yamamoto in DKC Returns this time Wise was the main guy behind most (if not all) the level music, as well as menus, bonus levels, credits, etc.. The tracks I don't think he could have done are the boss themes (both heavy metal and "tropical"), all the Rocketbarrel remixes and Secret Seclusion; none of them share Wise's blues and jazzy style.

I also think that Kenji Yamamoto was this time only a music supervisor (wasn't needed on music with Wise on board this time around), and given the weird way the staff is arranged this is conjectural, but maybe from Nintendo (along Wise) Matsuoka, Hamano and Ushiroda did music and Riyu Tamura voice recording; Tamura has only had credits of sound effects and such in other games.

The quickest solution would be to ask Wise directly. Maybe with the upcoming Yooka-Layle soundtrack he will do an AMA / interview / etc. and he'll have the chance to clarify.

Wow, disregard my previous comment about Wise not composing those rock boss songs then

Also, I'm thinking that quite probably Yamamoto was only involved on a supervisory level and wasn't really the one who composed the Rocketbarrel theme. I've come to think these days that DKC Returns is mostly Hamano, and maybe she also did the non-rock bosses from Tropical Freeze (Mountaintop Tussle, Triple Trouble, Fugu Face-Off), and probably Secret Seclusion as well (doesn't really sound like Wise to me).

But then again, there are multiple Nintendo composers credited on both games, so who really knows what did each one do.

This confirms some of the guitarists on DKC Tropical Freeze !
I'm kinda surprised to see the name of Kenji Yamamoto on that list but now that I listen back to "Big Top Bop", "Punch Bowl" and "Volcano Dome", it makes perfect sense ! Some of the guitars in those songs are very similar to the performances he did on the Excite Truck OST and Smash Bros. remixes for example.

Also, to jump back on the role Yamamoto had on the DKC Returns OST, I think he definitely composed and arranged some of the music.
I mean, just listen to these three tracks : https://youtu.be/zWvnRsC23vE
https://youtu.be/K911vKN02WU
https://youtu.be/ZojSDnCOeJ8
It's almost as if they were taken straight out of Metroid Prime Trilogy's soundtrack.

And on the DKC Returns Rocket Barrel theme, one of its variation includes a very typical Metroid sounding choir : https://youtu.be/___nXjPDST8
So perhaps he really did compose this theme !
