premium sleeve case personally, that thing is useless to me since other kiseki albums haven't that maybe if falcom was proposing (protective) cases for the kiseki series albums I'll be interested in |

We should probably try to address the current situation with Jindo and Singa, as I'm fairly sure both have actually providing original compositions for the recent bunch of Falcom soundtracks and not "Arrangements" (and in Singa's case, it's painfully obvious). This would explain why Jindo/Singa have been lumped into the Sound Team jdk credit as of late along with Sonoda/Unisuga, despite not being actual Falcom employees.

This game's composer/arranger breakdown was not included in the atwiki leak, meaning that there's no confirmation whatsoever for it. The two Google Spreadsheets files were created on September 24, 3 days before Sen IV was released. Still, the game already went gold and the bgmtbl file was surely completed by that date. The leaker should have had access to it, but the OST album wasn't out until December of 2018 and the track titles were still undecided, it's likely that they were unable to match all the composer codes with their corresponding tracks.
In any case, I've checked this soundtrack all over again and compared it extensively with the confirmed ones (mainly Sen III's), the following breakdown should be correct. I've written a few notes on my spreadsheet project explaining my reasoning and some silly thoughts, in which I complain about Jindo's lack of ambition, chastise Singa, and gush over Unisuga while I wish he had done more. Overall, this is the easiest Falcom soundtrack to guess in recent years (even before the leak occurred) and I find it a downgrade from Sen III's; lots of incidental music by Sonoda, Unisuga did less than usual, Jindo is like whatever outside of maybe two tracks, and Singa's music sounds cheap as hell and can't stand it. It's rather unbalanced in terms of quality, but I still feel it was considerably saved by some BGM from Sonoda/Jindo and (especially) Unisuga. Spoiler:
I have also been revising my guesses for the unconfirmed soundtracks released between 2001 and 2008 -- both Zwei games, Gurumin, Felghana (Pre Arrange), RINNE and Xanadu Next should be fairly accurate for the most part. I seriously hope Unisuga was just busy with Ys IX, because this is really getting out of hand. It's painful to see Sound Team jdk's reputation being spoilt by some cheapo outsourcer like Singa... |
