Wow, I think 20 discs is a new record. I think I set the maximum number of discs allowed to about 20, though I may need to raise it.

And $220/€160 for a new release must also be a record, isn't it?

As far as I know, Konami Masterpiece Collection is the closest with 15 discs, but they're all short ones. I don't know of any box set bigger than this other than the bootlegs they sell at eBay.

This is technically 21 discs right?

And um...I want this. Too bad I already own like, 11 of those discs.

I still want it. Gonna start saving up now.

The "Namco Wonder Box" by Tanomi WOULD have been 39 discs, but the release was cancelled.

Scheduled infos:
2005年2月23日 発売予定
価格:76,500円

http://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs...117/tanomi.htm
http://www.tanomi.com/shop/items/765music.html

I think I should go add this as a canceled entry though...

Do want it also. Thankfully I own only 3 of those discs. Really gotta save some money for this one.

Also, when is 20th Anniversary for Mana-series? :D

The first Seiken Densetsu (FF Adventure on GameBoy) was in Japan in June of '91. So 2011 will be the Mana series' 20th anniversary.

Also, I just read that they're going to split SaGa 1 2 and 3 into three discs. The original "All Sounds of SaGa" was two discs. Do you think they're just going to use the same tracks from ASO SaGa? Or will they have extra music? Maybe some WonderSwan version arrangements?

I'm a huge fan of "All Sounds of SaGa" and I desperately want more music from those games. That's why I'm so pumped about the SaGa 2 remake on DS. The soundtrack will probably be awesome (and will also probably come out shortly after this box).

I apologise for having not used multi-quote: this is my 1st time posting here.
Another 20cd great box was made for the Famicom Mini Series CDs.

It looks like it's a very nice item. But with 1.7 kilo, I can't imagine the shipping costs outside Japan!

Also VAT and duty charges are hard to be imagined. I'm lucky that I have a friend in Japan and we skip taxes.

Well, props to Square-Enix Music for even MAKING a commercial for this, it's certainly a step forward for game makers to actually, like, PROMOTE AN OST for a change.

As far as I know, they usually make a commercial for their soundtracks. There was one for FFIX at the time!

I've tried adding the tracklist but it gave me an error message. Is the tracklist too big?

What was the error message? I just tested it out, and it worked fine (for a 10-track per disc tracklist that I pasted in.)

I can't even access the "add tracklist" page now. It says:

Alright, now it works. I saved the fields with Firefox's plugin AutoFormer but it's not here anymore so I'll have to do it anew, unless someone else does it before I do... I mean, unless someone else has the courage to do it before I do.

Default only 1 version

Before I buy it, I'd like to know if I'll get the identic items whichever shop I buy it from.
Play-Asia talk about a "limited edition", like it would be one only they have.
If some shop has a dedicated special version I want that.
Can you help me?

They all say Limited Edition, as I suspect this isn't going to be reprinted once it sells out.

Alright, here is the tracklist. They've decided to use the corrected version of SaGa Frontier 2, but apparently they didn't fix the Unlimited SaGa issue: track order is the same, and based on the samples on the official website, same goes with the music in itself.

that's a shame they didn't fix the Unlimited SaGa issue. I wonder, if someone tried to get this to S-E's attention in short order, could they fix it before publishing the box set?

i added a new English tracklist, the other one had a "bonus track" in disc 8 (the bonus track isn't in the jp tracklist so I assume it doesn't exist, right? just to make sure before deleting the old tracklist...).
Also I took the chance to tweak/sync some translations and use official names where I could.

I'll check into disc 8 to see about that bonus track.

Oh and uh...I just got the box.

I will be providing scans of *EVERYTHING*, including some photos of the finished product as well. So far I've gotten the "outer box" and the assembly instruction sheets.

Two questions for admin folk:

1) the current "default" image is smaller than my scan, obviously, but it's also far CLEANER. The outer box is much larger than my scanner, so I had to scan two sides and then paste together. Lighting differences make for a line you can see, even though I did a good 80 pixel feather/layover to try and keep that to a minimum. But I think it's still visible. So which should be the default front image? Your choice.

2) There are TWO boxes. There's the outer box that everything comes in, and then there's the box you ASSEMBLE (see the assembly sheet I uploaded, as well as Jayson's unpacking video at OSV)

http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=4294

...so, how should I label those images as I scan them? There's the box, and then there's, uh, the other box. :P

This scanning project is going to take me a whole day, I think. I've done outer box and assembly sheet tonight (Thursday), will scan the rest when I get home Sunday. Can also confirm tracklist and track times as I go.

<3 y'all.

Ramza

The interwebs tell me disc 9 has 7 unlisted bonus tracks. Could you check if these have cd text or any kind of names?
