Are the names written on Japanese toy boxes considered good -even official- sources for romanization?
For example, デジタンク (normally "Digitank") is translated as "Degitank" on Bandai's toy box: https://tshop.r10s.jp/toyshop/cabine...itin=720%3A720 We still have weird translations on these toy boxes, as for "デジタイザー" (Digitizer) we have "Degitaizer", and also for "バトルライザー" (Battle Riser), we have "Battleraizer": https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BYbFKqPWVHM/maxresdefault.jpg https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SY450_.jpg For me "Digitank" is correct because we have another words from the album which are translated as "Digital", a word that begins the same, and "Digital" is even directly written on the OST 3: https://vgmdb.net/album/121199 |
