So I tried to buy this on Amazon or iTunes today. Region-locking crap everywhere, I don't know how to get around it. Can't make a German iTunes account, and Amazon auto-detects that I'm in the US.

Help?

I believe you need to just change your address to a foreign (valid) address for it to pick up your new region. At least that's how it works in iTunes for JP. You just have to find an address of something stupidly public in the region of question, like McDonalds.

I did that but they wouldn't let me confirm the account without either a credit card or a gift card specific to German iTunes. Putting in my current card, it determined it was a credit card tied to the US. I spent a lot more time with iTunes than Amazon ... maybe there's a hole somewhere with Amazon's setup that I need to find.
