Er...I think we should clean up the scans gallery as it's a bit confusing now.

What's the story on the set that's Green and the set that's not? Is it some kind of alternate printing?

Wow yeah it's a mess.. and i am also speechless why there is a "green" set and a "grey" one...
If some of the 39 owners of this double disc could manifest and confirm/give infos about what is what, that would be cool. Seems like the "green" set upped by L3000 is missing one page, the one with "Disc One" (tracklist). Grey booklet i submitted is complete, it was missing the obi, tray and back covers. The CD case is transparent green, so it has been scanned without removing the booklet and back from the case.
It also happened with Zone of the Enders 2, where the case is orange. |

I'd like to add that my copy also came with this green "camouflage" CD case. Looks pretty cool btw.
Didn't see a lot of releases with tinted cases, in fact this is probably the only one in my collection, including the film scores and regular albums. |

Seems like i still don't get it..
The jewel case is transparent green color, ok. But how do you get these green booklet scans? Paper is so thin the green case behind it made that effect ? Seriously if someone could upload a complete & proper set of scans that would close the discussion. Last edited by Myrkul; Nov 4, 2009 at 05:02 AM. |

Hmm, I remember that the MGS4 score has a booklet that consists of parchment like paper, which is very thin and translucent. But I don't think the MGS3 one has anything like that. Going to check once I return home.

The booklet scans by L3000 look correct to me.
The booklet front and back is governed by a brownish tone, with a little bit of green. All booklet pages in the inside have a light greenish background, with black fonts printed over it. <- Just to make this clear, this is how my booklet looks like EDIT: The scans posted by you Myrkul look like BW ones. EDIT2: @Zanasea: The booklet front and back scan by L3000 were definitely NOT made while still inside the CD case. Last edited by LiquidAcid; Nov 4, 2009 at 11:48 AM. |

Hmm...The set that was uploaded by Myrkul seems to be the first print limited edition packaging. Can anyone confirm this?
EDIT: OK,my bad. After a closer look at the box front scan of the "gray" set,I found this is indeed the first print special packaging. So,what we gonna do? Make an alternative print entry or just label them "first print special"? Last edited by Cypher; Nov 5, 2009 at 03:33 PM. |

There's one page missing between this scan:
http://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=42395 and this scan: http://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=42396 Would someone do us a favor and upload the missing page? |

I believe that there is one official Japanese release, Green jewel case, normal white inlays with artwork etc. However, there was a limited edition 1st print of this CD which also had a slipcase with a female model impersonating EVA, this was grey in colour and maybe where the confusion lies.

Hmm, I think it's kind of weird, but the times were off for this release and I just updated it, but it was pointing me to the http://vgmdb.net/album/8021 copy, so I think someone had times mixed up..

Since Kobo is an alias of Shuichi Kobori, would it be fair to assume he composed Snake Vs. Monkey?

Indeed he has.

Can anyone explain why this release has one more track on disc 2 than the EU release? O_o

The EU release doesn't have "Way To Fall". Probably because of rights.

Since the booklet doesn't give any credit beyond "Starry.K, Chunk Raspberry, Sergei Mantis and 66 Boys", here's the musician breakdown who worked on the jazzy codec tracks. A few of those guys will actually go on to do The Outer Rim...
Disc 1 - 17~19, Disc 2 - 17~20 (site says 21 too, but that's not correct) Norihiko Hibino (sax/composer) Jeff Curry (bass) Kenichiro Shinazawa (piano/organ) Nobuaki Fuji (drums) Tomoya Hara (guitar) Ryo Ogihara (guitar) Hiroshi Sugano (baritone sax) Credit was provided by Jeff Curry's site: http://www.jeffcurry.com/en/discography.html Last edited by XISMZERO; Jun 16, 2013 at 10:11 PM. |
