First Video Game Albums in America
Now I know that they were selling video game music on albums in Japan before America did. I basically have two questions:
1. What was the first Japanese video game album to get an official release in America? 2. What was the first album in America that had music from a Western (America and Europe) video game? |

I did a little searching on the db for albums in the game category that contain soundtrack and are in the U.S. price region.
1. This is the first one I found with a Japanese composer. 2. This one seems to be the earliest that is a actually soundtrack. There are plenty of earlier ones that mix arcade sounds into other music though. Interestingly, there are only 4 Japanese game soundtrack albums that pre-date this one. |
