Cave announced two versions of the game for the 360, one of them being a limited edition including a special soundtrack CD. No more details announced tho.
Seems like several companies are doing this VGM-album packs more and more lately...

(BTW can someone please change the release date to 2009? it wouldn't let me for some reason)

Whoops, I guess I undid a change to the site parameters earlier. 2009 should be a valid date now.

There were more details about the arranged album here. I translated most of it here. Not too sure about who lisa-rec is but that's the only thing I got when I googled the last name. Nice lineup and it should be a very cool album.

Shuichiro Nakazawa, holy crap. Two other glory-days Zuntata members there too but damn where has this guy been.

Is it already up for preorder? That's way soon. I'm assuming it's up at play-asia and/or vgmworld? (Please don't tell me it's the online Cave store again...)

Well it was up yesterday for pre-order from play-asia, but now it changed back to "preorders opening soon". I was able to get my order completed though before it was taken down.

Someone has posted the tracklisting and arranger duties. Some surprises there, but I'm really looking forward to it. I would have bet money that Namiki was going to handle Burning Halloween Town, but it seems Yack was given that duty.

Wow, nice lineup! Especially nice to see Yamanaka there after years of absence from the VGM scene (as far as I know).

I'm thinking Azusa Chiba is becoming a "rising star" for Basiscape, as her tracks so far have been very enjoyable stuff.

Well, apparently Cave is cutting production numbers for the Limited Edition and it looks like my preorder won't be fulfilled. Perhaps we'll be able to find it online somewhere...

Why must Cave be so difficult when it comes to releasing VGM? I really do not like the whole idea of limited quantities for the OSTs.

Neither do I. My preorder was cut as well, despite placing it way back in November.

Here they all are, the fabled Manabu Namiki Selection Arrange albums:

Yeah, I ordered it on November 1st and it wasn't fulfilled. It's really saddening. Here's hoping, right?! There is a small chance we may be satisfied. I think we should raid the warehouse!

I just can't believe how stupid that is, even months in advance. And here I was hoping to maybe get one some time ago even if I don't have a 360. Foolish me...
I sense this becoming ultra rare in 5,4,3.....

Just recently, NCSX sent me an email saying of course that supplies were short (I had multiple preorders, all now failed). So short, in fact, that (based on NCSX research and speaking with other Japanese vendors) it is estimated that CAVE will only be able to fill 5% of their total preorders for the Limited Edition. Or in other words, CAVE will be turning away 95% of the people who want to buy their LE version of the game...

Wow, 5%...
I really wonder if the insanely-limited strategy is really paying off for them, or just pissing off all their dedicated fans.

Personally, I'm in the real pissed off category. Specially, when "magically", they have enough stock to keep selling old out-of-print albums at their events. I'm 99% sure this will also be the case. Now, that would be so blatantly funny and cheap on their part... ¬_¬

I used to be a die-hard CAVE fan, but the direction they keep going towards, makes me feel rather sick of them.
I miss the old ESP Ra.De. and Guwange days...

Seems like this is being packaged with the Limited Edition version of the North American localization of Death Smiles. The limited edition of the game costs $49.99. Not sure if a "sister" album needs to be made.

Gamestop is listing the price at $40 now. I called the store and their system still has the LTD for $50. Weird.

Price has been bumped back up to $50. I wonder if they'll still honor the temp price cut.

Track 11 is the best track I've heard from Cave. This track is disgustingly perfect.

If you like Kamikura's arrangement of Namiki's original "Hades Castle," I highly recommend Kamikura's original equivalent "The Enchanted Palace" from Deathsmiles 2. I enjoy it much much more than the original and Kamikura's arrangement.

I'll definitely check that out then. Thanks.

Cave really is setting the bar high for topnotch vgm. Hearing that track 11 on July 4th while driving with fireworks going off. You really can't beat that feeling.

Question, what's with the CVST-0009 cat no.? All other Cave arrange albums use the CVAS-XXX cat no. Even the enclosed Mushihimesama Double Arrange Album. Could there have been a mistake or is there another reason (like these tracks being featured in the game and I'm not aware of it)?
