Overly reuses the main theme(s), but is good overall, with little filler. It's a nice album for checking out Nobuo's ROCKIN' side.

Does anyone who owns the album know if any other arrangers are credited? I highly suspect there are arrangers for the other tracks but never seen any credits.

I just got around to hearing this. Wow, out of no where. Here comes Nobuo, the rock god. I liked this soundtrack immediately, on first listen. I think it’s awesome that they decided to go for a rock theme throughout the entire game, and I can’t believe they got Nobuo to do it. It just goes to show how music direction can really make a composer shine, especially when it hits their strong points. This being an arcade game, there was no “filler” music, giving the soundtrack a nice, overall package. I love the incorporation of recurring themes too. Highly recommended to those who haven’t heard this yet.

When I first heard this soundtrack, I liked it more than BlazBlue (which was released around the same time), but now it's definitely the other way around (most notably because "Bullet Dance" is one of my favorite tracks ever now). I think the extensive use of the two or three musical themes in this album brings the overall impact down considerably. There's very little in this album that isn't an arrangement of one of those themes. Of course, they are great themes, and this is a great album, but not as great as it could have been.

I don't have this album either, but this site lists Henmi as the arranger of the last four tracks, and his statement at the official site corresponds to this.

Can anyone provide a full set of scans for this? At least LoVII has been covered well.

The album notes look odd. Here they are currently:
Quote:
All music composed and produced by Nobuo Uematsu

"LORD of VERMILION"

Composed by Nobuo Uematsu
Lyrics by Kazushige Nojima(STELLAVISTA)
Arranged, programmed, and guitars performed by Kimio Itoyama (1~11)
Arranged, programmed and performed by: Satoshi Henmi (12~15)

Vocals: Masumi Harada
Drums: Hideo Yamaki
E.Bass: Toshimi Nagai
Here's what I believe they should be:
Quote:
All music composed and produced by Nobuo Uematsu
Arranged, programmed, and guitars performed by Kimio Itoyama (1~11)
Arranged, programmed and performed by: Satoshi Henmi (12~15)

"LORD of VERMILION"

Composed by Nobuo Uematsu
Lyrics by Kazushige Nojima(STELLAVISTA)
Vocals: Masumi Harada
Drums: Hideo Yamaki
E.Bass: Toshimi Nagai
Can I get confirmation? Mostly I want to verify that Kimio Itoyama is arranging tracks 1~11 on the album and Satoshi Henmi is arranging tracks 12~15 on the album.

Thanks in advance! =}
