Murmurwoods is a nice song. I have no idea which track it is though.

As far as I can tell, you can download the game from GOG but not the soundtrack. Do they include the soundtrack? Do they note that anywhere?

It wasn't anywhere that I saw. I went to GOG hoping they would have samples of the whole soundtrack, but I didn't see the soundtrack anywhere.

The soundtrack comes as bonus content when you BUY the game, as GOG's site clearly mentions.

Also, I think (but please correct me if I'm wrong) that the original CD release had the soundtrack playable off the CD? |

Yes it had, and GOG's releases are aparently 128kpbs mp3s anyway ...

Regarding my latest edit (from Aug 13, 2016 12:53 PM): Of course Paul Romero and Steve Baca are to be credited for the music. While I don't own a copy of the game, MobyGames' credit information is without a doubt a reliable source. Any of you who own this can check it under the "Credits" section. Plus, Paul was there since the first Heroes of Might and Magic (and continues to be), while Steve was part of the music team up to Might and Magic IX.
