It was originally stated that the BGM would be arranged/mixed by hasu (Tatsuya Nabeta) who was a debugger on the 2015 remake of La Mulana.

In his profile, there is a link to "Niconico", which is the video sharing website in Japan, like Youtube. He has lots of arranged songs from retro games there. Once you check them out, I'm sure you'll understand why we chose him.

But hasu isn't credited in the final game. I guess Naramura became confident enough to handle the arrangements himself.
