Default Album naming inconsistencies/queries

As I understand it, the main title that albums are catalogued under is a name that whatever album it is is most commonly referred to by English speaking VGM lovers, right?

With that in mind, I was wondering about the Sakura Taisen/Wars listings and also the one for "Record of Agarest War" for these reasons -

I understand that the Sakura Taisen manga has been released in America, as has the movie (and possibly the TV series?) under the name Sakura Wars. So should these albums be listed under "Wars" because that's the moniker the series was given in its only English translation, or should it be left "Taisen" as that's the original name, and the albums here aren't referring to anything to do with the manga/anime?

The last one was just a quick question about "Record of Agarest War". I appreciate that it's written on the front cover, but as the game and OST are both called "Agarest Senki", and there's no English release in sight is this an OK title to use?

Not exactly end of the world stuff, but just some bits I wanted to ask

On the question of Taisen/Wars; I can't say I have a strong opinion eitherway, and since I think both titles are both widely recognized and used I reckon it won't really matter much which one we chose to use. Since we really should stick with either one or the other, though, I'd give the edge to Taisen.

A compromise would be to have the display title as Sakura Wars, and the third line (romaji) as Sakura Taisen.

I suppose the most important thing is people are able to find what they are looking for in the database. That's where the additional (optional) lines for naming albums come in handy.

I don't think it makes much sense just to romanize a title when you could translate it, even if there is no official English translation available. I would therefore, in the example you mentioned, input "Record of Agarest War" as the English title and "agarest senki" as the romanisation.

In case the romanized title is widely known to English speakers though (Sakura Taisen, Seiken Densetsu) I'd simply put the English translation under "line 4+: others" or in the notes (as no one's going to look for Seiken Densetsu 2 under "Legend of the Holy Sword 2", and it'd be odd to have that as an alternative title)
