This album has the only cover art in game music that actually scares me a little bit. The alien soldier on the cover is pretty much identical to how I pictured the alien in the creepy sci-fi novel 'Ship of Fools'.

Listening to Alien Soldier's soundtrack is a rite of passage all VGM fans must undergo. Whether you will end up better or worse from the experience, this is something only you will know.

And the game is pretty fun, although I prefer Gunstar Heroes for my Genesis runnin' and shootin' action.

Regardless of your thoughts about Alien Soldier's music, I strongly recommend NON to everyone. He's one of VGM's premier mad scientists.

The game is also a must-play for whoever love furiously fast & addictive action games. Purchased this as a child, still own it and will be buried with it XD

But yeah, the soundtrack is like the space depicted in the game's intro:
dark, infinite, oppressive, scary but powerful and really pure in its beauty ='3
