I had the pleasure of meeting Testsukazu and Junichi Nakatsuru a couple days ago. It was really great to show appreciation for their work in person!

I was trying to do so while attending the 25th fire emblem concert. neither would respond to my messages. Hidenori Shoji did make an effort and was welcoming, although I didn't have a chance to.

He's still at Bandai Namco (current position is Head Sound Designer, according to Facebook), but yeah, kinda quiet recently. I bet we see him in Ace Combat 7.

He's credited in Tales of Zestiria and Pokken Tournament as part of the "NU Sound Team," NU Sound being Bamco's internal sound engine. So maybe some sound programming work for those games, or maybe just a credit for having worked on the engine.

Those credits barely change between games if at all, so it's likely the latter.

Does anyone know why in the Ace Combat 04 soundtrack booklet he says that his last name is pronounced "Nakanii":

Could it be a typo?

EDIT: Just noticed that our profile page on him lists Nakany with reading なかにい as an alias for him, so that's the answer. It's some sort of nickname.

Yeah, it is his nickname for the doujin work or at least outside of the NBGI official works.
