The current English title is "Fighting Layer / Arika," but the Japanese title given is "Fighting Layer Original Soundtrack." Anyone got a spine scan or something to determine which is right? Got hits for both titles in Japanese.

Why is even that Arika on the album title, it's just the developer, why even add that to the title?

Also, it could be that it's just FIGHTING LAYER / ARIKA on the one side of the spine and Fighting Layer Original Soundtrack / Arika in katakana in the other side the spine

Yeah, I bet Arika is on the spine. That's pretty common for the Pony Canyon albums. Probably, the title should be just "Fighting Layer."

This type of labeling convention was used on the Spines (outer tray) of multiple Pony Canyon albums, see examples below. This seems to be a continuation of the format they used when some albums had 2 OSTs on a single album, and the slash was a separator between them.

In cases where [Game Title / Developer] is printed on the Spine, I do agree that the developer name should be dropped, such as these:

Batsugun / Toaplan
Fist / Imagineer
Blazing Star / Yumekobo
Fuu'un Mokushiroku / SNK
etc...

In cases where it's [Game Title 1 / Game Title 2] is printed on the Spine, this should keep the slash and remain unchanged, such as these:

Flashpoint / Bloxeed
Magical Drop / Dunk Dream '95
Night Slashers / Flower Busters
etc...
