Default Rate a track?

I'm just going to say: How cool wouldn't that be?

Oh, you wouldn't believe how cool just having track-specific metadata would be. (It's in the roadmap)

It would be interesting to find out what the highest rated track would be.

Indeed it would. Maybe make the tracks that has additional information to it, into a link or maybe just a small box that pops up when you hover over the track.

in addition to ratings and composer info, it would be very cool to include song lyrics and booklet infos for specific tracks too

looking forward to this.

Being able to rate tracks would be great indeed.

I also second your idea Blitz Lunar, adding song lyrics is a feature I'm really looking forward to.
No need to search the whole internet, we would have all in one place.
Just perfect

I was just about to create a thread about lyrics before I found this.

I too would be interested in having lyrics on this site. Perhaps, similar to the alternate tracklists, some might be willing to translate from Japanese, Korean, ect, to English and vice versa.

What is "the box" that people are supposed to think outside of anyway? Hmm. Maybe it's similar to the Borg from Star Trek who dwelled as a collective hive-mind within a...box/cube. Those that deviated from this hive-mind would, in effect, be thinking outside of the box. it has both a figurative and a literal meaning.

This is pretty interesting, actually. I've used the rating system to share my opinions about some albums as a whole, but rating individual tracks sounds really awesome. It seems like that would be a huge amount of data to add to the server's memory, but what do I know :P

Make it sync-able with iTunes and foobar ratings. Now THAT's something that'd be fucking fierce.

(also probably impossible)

foobar would probably only require a plugin and some sort of authentication(login) interface to this site. I'd be game for taking a stab at that in the future; although I would dread trying to work with that spaghetti of COM and C code they call foobar's API again. XD

I'd be interested in what tracks could possibly get a 5 (especially with more ratings, of course).
