We're mostly a database for game/anime database. Were these manga albums added to complement the discography of Tsutomu Ohira, or some other game/anime composers?

I think it's fine to include albums from a manga or radio series if it's related to an anime, either as a spinoff or original source for a couple of reasons.
  • They are of potential interest to collectors of that series.
  • They often can share composers and voice actors with the anime series.
  • They are also useful in the negative -- informing a fan (who can't read Japanese) that an album is not directly related to the anime (instead of just missing from VGMdb)

There are some caveats though.
  • If a series has a typical number of albums (say ~5-10), it would be silly to add the manga discography if that numbers in the 50-100 range. That's way too lopsided.
  • Since our staff and population is mostly made up of game music experts, we my not have the expertise to cover the subject matter and verify some of the submissions. So, I prefer them to be submitted by users who have already demonstrated their expertise and submission skills.
