Blah blah caps etc. The naming of this album is pretty inconsistent, but most places have an extra ・ between "タンツ" and "ミックス".

The title appears in Japanese on the obi, so let's just use that. No quotation marks and a space between "Tanz" and "Mix" instead of an interpunct.

It also appears formatted as "RAYSTORM -NEW TANZ MIX-" on just the obi, and that's how it's been on Zuntata's sites too. SUPER BONUS TITLE of "レイストーム -ノイ・タンツ・ミックス-" comes from the iTunes listing.

edit: I figure the obi takes precedence over the cover, since it's such a small change. The spine has fat spaces between the title/subtitle/stuff anyway.

Is the TANZ in the title a transliteration of the French word "temps"? I've checked several dictionaries and they all indicate that the French word "temps" can be pronounced TAN or TANZ. If that's true, then this could be titled NEW TIMES MIX.

Tanz is german for dance and neu is german for new, so I'd imagine it's New Dance Mix.

Yes definitely what Don said, Temps is pronouned as "TAN" in french, but in no way as "TANZ".

Interesting. I assumed neu was a misspelling of "new" and I noticed the English word "contretemps" can be pronounced kon-truh-tahn or kon-truh-tahnz, whether it's singular or plural. Temps means time in French (from the Latin word tempus) and I know Tamayo likes the French language, so that's how I made that connection. I further assumed that the booklet designer had been aware of the English variation (though wrong in French) of pronouncing temps as tahnz and spelled it Tanz, meaning time.

If this is a dance mix, then it's the best one in existence.
