Fixed the composer part. Someone else please add those performers, while I scan this thing. :P

Edit: scans are up, and added all those performers. Can't remember if orchestrators should be added as arrangers or not, so didn't do anything with them.

Can anyone please confirm that the sound is in fact a CD-quality and not a MP3-source?

Btw. the back side of the digipak shows 72850300UK as possible catalogue number, any US CE owners wanna check if it's the same one the US edition or is it just 72850300US in there as I'm assuming currently. If so, then we need two entries for this album (and possible third for the asian CE (if there is even one)).

Seems that US release has S7285044 on the back, so do we need to make another entry now?

I think orchestration is considered as a form of arrangement here (along with remixes).

It seems very lossless to me, here's some spectral view:

We usually make new child entries for the other localized releases. It looks like Diablo 2 had multiple catalog numbers too.

Thank you. It looks OK. I'll wait for a while until the initial high activity on eBay declines a little and then get a copy of the soundtrack.

The OSV/Destructoid feature on the sound team has a few unnamed samples, if anyone feels like identifying the composers for some pieces (no idea if they're even on this album): http://www.originalsoundversion.com/...ples-included/. You can also read it just to read it, since it's pretty good.

Claims by composers in text are:
  • Russell Brower: Leah
  • Joseph Lawrence: "four or five 8 minute long pieces"
  • Derek Duke: "I think I worked on almost every area in the game"
  • Laurence Juber: "I can’t tell you exactly how many [minutes] – I composed and recorded about an hour of music. It’s essentially modular – the various elements exist as stems (separate tracks of guitar, percussion, synths, orchestra), so it’s likely that aspects of the texture might be heard in a different context from the way I recorded."

It was a good article. I'm disappointed there was no mention of Stafford though. His role probably wasn't that big since he's taking lead on Heart of the Swarm.

Yeah, it was a static Q&A so I didn't get to follow-up with what Stafford did. I'll ping Brower for a complete composer breakdown for the album though, as usual (he's been forthcoming in the past with WoW releases).

I don't suppose you could bug him for a breakdown of the whole game?

Made a Polish entry. Track names are printed in all caps as far as I can see, so I've typed it like that in the Polish tracklist. (Messed up this tracklist in the process but corrected, sorry...)

Credits breakdown from Russell Brower (he notes that it's hard to say on some tracks because so many people had input and the tracks combine so many themes):

And The Heavens Shall Tremble - Russell Brower; based on a DIIX theme and DIII concept from Matt Uelmen, plus the "Diablo III Overture" written by R.B. for the announcement at the 2008 (?) Worldwide Invitational in Paris.

The Eternal Conflict - Neal Acree; a little bit of Matt Uelmen's ascending 5-note theme is present

New Tristram - Lawrence Juber & Russell Brower, based on Matt's improvs and prior Diablo works

Demon Hunter - Glenn Stafford

Black Soulstone - Russell Brower

Azmodan - Russell Brower

Witch Doctor - Neal Acree

Tamoe Highlands - Derek Duke (some Glenn Stafford possibly, too)

I Am Justice - Russell Brower

Barbarian - Neal Acree

Arreat - Glenn Stafford

Leoric - Joseph Lawrence

Monk - Neal Acree

Incantation - Russell Brower

Bastion's Keep - Glenn Stafford (possibly some Joseph Lawrence and Duke)

Wizard - Neal Acree

Caldeum - Joseph Lawrence (and some Derek Duke possibly)

Evil Reawakened - Russell Brower (with some Derek Duke)

Garden of Hope - Derek Duke

Heaven's Gate - Russell Brower

A Tenuous Bond - Derek Duke

A New Dawn - Russell Brower

Leah - Russell Brower

Should the album entry be updated with this info btw? (Remembered this after re-checking that Reaper of Souls composer breakdown)

I appreciate Brower's breakdown, but I feel like we could get even more accurate--maybe ask composers individually what they remember.

Caldeum - Joseph Lawrence (and some Derek Duke possibly)
This one, for example. The first half is Lawrence for sure (it matches the style of Leoric exactly), while the second half sounds like Duke.

Here is an exact composer breakdown. It could be verified via https://isrcsearch.ifpi.org/; also most tracks are in ASCAP.

composer:
Neal Acree (tracks 2, 7, 10, 13, 16–17, 19)
Russell Brower (tracks 1, 3, 5–6, 9, 14, 18, 20, 22–23)
Derek Duke (tracks 8, 19, 21)
Laurence Juber (track 3)
Joseph Lawrence (tracks 12, 17)
Glenn Stafford (tracks 4, 11, 15, 18)
Matt Uelmen (tracks 1–3)
