The sq_staff Twitter account announced 3 participants today.

https://twitter.com/#!/sq_staff

- Schroeder-Headz with an arrangement of Grandma
- sasakure UK with an arrangement of Song of the Ancients / Devola and Popola
- world's end girlfriend with a medley arrangement of Snow in Summer and The Dark Colossus Destroys All

If I understood the translation correctly, Schroeder-Headz is a piano trio of some sort? I also think the Twitter account mentions something about them remixing the tune heard on this website:

Wow, World's End Girlfriend.

I never thought I'd be so interested in a NieR release!

I'll ask to be sure, but I assume that Nobu44 is Nobuyoshi Sano, since he is featured on this album.

You can read Nobu-4-4 as Nobu-yo-shi, so that seems like a good guess if he's confirmed to have arranged something on this album.

He is confirmed via personal contact, but he says his alias is top secret... I'm pretty sure with your logic, that Nobu44 is the right alias, but I don't think we should link it, due to this reason.

EDIT: 3 samples up on Youtube. More to come, most likely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Ka1...4B519940A134C5

There's an erratum leaflet within the booklet saying that track 6 is not "Shadowlord" as listed but "Shadowlord's Castle / Roar". I've reflected the change in the tracklist but this should probably be noted in the Notes section.

In other news, the obi reveals a piano album is in the works.

This album seriously blows. Not trying to troll here, but it's pretty bad.

On the contrary I think it's pretty good. A few tracks really are bad, and it pains me to say Sano's contribution especially wasn't necessary. Otherwise some of the arrangers did a really great job encapturing the world of Nier, especially on tracks such as Kaine, Emil, Suite of Nier, Grandma, Lost Forest and the final medley. These tracks are definitely great.

I'm also someone who really can't appreciate the remix/arrange approach at all. To me this just sounds like someone overlayed the tracks from the OST with random noise and/or sometimes a danceable beat. Not my cup of tea

I think I'll stick with the OST for now, until the piano arrangement album comes out.

Fixed track 9 based on both the tracklist in the printed album and on the website. It only features Wretched Automatons and not Hills of Radiant Winds

About to add packaging scans.

FYI, the front cover image as shown is really interesting. All the pure white (the emblem in the center, and the text in the bottom-right) is printed on the plastic jewel case. The rest is the front cover booklet. So when I do the scans I'll only be doing the book. We'll let the preview image suffice to get the white stuff.

(LOL, makes me think of Weird Al's 'The Right Stuff' parody)

Love y'all

More interesting than that, Patrick, is the fact that the cover was a shot taken of a big box with cardboard cutouts layered in 3D. Pretty awesome stuff. Think I saw it on the album's official website.

And funny, probably my favorite track on the album. Funkiness reminds me of some Tekken stuff.

The best by far IMO. I was like Nobu44... + that sound... it would be too awesome if it's Nobuyoshi Sano. B-D
Tekken 3, Persona arrange... Sano's great!
