Hello all.

Opening discussion

Quote:
I included Dynapolis and Melt Down as part of arrangements on A.C. Revolution.
I do not have another source besides myself listening and comparing the tracks.

. Melt Down general synth/key voices arrangements are all the way in A.C. Revolution from 3:27 remixed with Dead End.
. Dynapolis piano arrangement in 1:48 is similar to electric guitar and bass guitar arrangements in A.C. Revolutions from 4:36 but may differ in key and/or musical mode.

I do not consider Normal Ending (Kohta Takahashi) should be part of this list but I am not altering this inclusion before discussing with OP.
@DanteLectro

What are your thoughts.
Thanks

- JJ

Someone posted a looped version of this same topic discussed here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpUYz6GfeGA

I listed again Normal Ending and I figured at 0:40 there's a small portion of the acoustic guitar that seem to be what was arranged on this track.

I confirmed this is Normal Ending arrangement also.
Sorry I overlooked. This discussion can be closed now.

@vargasjj

It feels like our copies of the album are slightly differently ripped (maybe pregap differences) because the timestamps you gave don't exactly work for me.

Can we use this playlist as a common reference for timestamps?

About Melt Down: I'm not sure what you mean, don't really hear it. Please try to describe more accurately. Thanks.

About Dynapolis: I say maybe. I hear it but it's quite different so I can't definitely agree.

By the way, in A.C. Revolution from 2:39, the percussion from the first 8 seconds of Dystopia is looped about four times and faded out. I noticed this back then, but didn't want to add it to the note as part of the medley because it's just a tiny motif.

Hello @DanteLectro .
Thank you for your reply after so much time since these was edited

I'm using the published tracks on Spotify from
https://open.spotify.com/album/1sxxWKMGNms5Hv9i26UZUu

Sounds good. I'm going to use those you mentioned on Youtube to illustrate my points

Yes, you are correct. The percussive sample you mentioned it's in fact Dystopia but does not worth the mention as the motif is way to minimum. so we agree on that one.

#1.
Here, these synth (i think they are pads with envelopes, low-cut filtered keys and a filtered square-lead) arrangements in Melt Down right from the beginning 0:00-0:25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJGSHJngar0

are the motif I think they used for the very similar synths and keys in A.C. Revolution from 3:27-4:15
https://youtu.be/P88IY8XxRaM?t=207

#2.
Here, these piano arrangement (the melody of the piano) on Dynapolis from 1:49-2:12
https://youtu.be/d4R_nfHz0AQ?t=108

are the motif I think they used for the guitar and bass guitar on A.C. Revolution from 4:35-4:49
https://youtu.be/P88IY8XxRaM?t=275

#3.
lead guitar from 4:50 til the end should be the Normal Ending acoustic guitar from 0:40-0:48 which is the motif I think they used and is the one documented before. (sorry this one fell off of the Youtube playlist you shared but it's not there)
https://youtu.be/b9oOntC5uPs?t=39

My point is, the lead guitar mentioned in #3 used a motif at the end of the track in A.C. Revolution which made you (or others) to think Normal Ending was being arranged and it was just a melody of 8secs, so perhaps they could consider these other annotations... so I decided to post it.

Let me know your thoughts.
I appreciate your time.

Thank you.
- JJ

This can be noted as a motif use though. (8 seconds)

#1.
This sounds quite different to me from the original, but if you're correct I would call it a partial arrangement of Melt Down.

#2.
I think this a reuse of an 8-second motif from Dynapolis 1:49-1:57 (2:04-2:12 is a repeat). Can be noted as such (not an arrangement of the full track).

#3.
Yeah, I think you're right. It sounds like just a reuse of an 8-second motif, not an arrangement of the full track. I think this is worth being noted as such.
