Even if i am unfamiliar with the series, i know this game under a few titles:

Huanxiang Sanguozhi
Fantasy Sango
or under a more familiar name: Genso Sangokushi.

If i am not wrong, this game was published on China by UserJoy Technology and got a Japanese port by Falcom for the 2 first games.
And i don't know if the 3rd & 4th are planned by Falcom or not.. (i guess not?)

So should we translate the title to Genso Sangokuchi 4 or keep Huanxiang Sanguozhi 4 to mark that little difference ?

I deleted the newer entry by L3000 as it was a duplicate of that album.

I also added alternate titles to this one.

I've seen this Genso Sangokushi / Fantasy Sango series titled with a different Chinese character at the end, 誌 instead of 志. Which is the official title for this series: 幻想三國誌 or 幻想三國志? User Joy's website and everywhere else when searching in Google name it different ways, which is why I'm a bit confused.

Nice catch!

幻想三國誌 = Traditional Chinese
幻想三国志 = Simplified Chinese (the fourth character is also different)

Both titles are correct. I'll update the album title for consistency.

Is there any validity to having the Japanese title "Gensou Sangokushi" listed as a variant? It seems like if the game wasn't released in Japan, and has no official Japanese title, then taking a Japanese reading of the Chinese characters wouldn't be guaranteed to result in anything that is valid (though in this case it does.)

EDIT -- Oh wait, so this is the same game series as Genso Sangokushi?

Yeah, UserJoy developed it and Falcom published it in Japan, only for the first 2 games though like Myrkul said. But since it's the same series it should be reasonable to retain the Japanese title.

Yeah like i said, i did not call it Genso Sangokushi 4 cause it was not (yet) ported to Japan.

And regarding chinese titles.. it's a matter since both simplified & traditional are used (i think people and players mostly use simplified Chinese).. though the official title might be on traditional Chinese.

So the matter exist for the few Chinese series in the database (not many luckily), 2 famous (at least in China) series are published by "Softstar Entertainment" & we have a few album that might need a re-check then.
