OOCO-26: Shining the Holy Ark Original Soundtrack

This CD features none of the game's original music? The title says original soundtrack, but it's classified as an arrangement here. The titles usually aren't that misleading when they actually say original soundtrack, but there have probably been a couple of instances where this has happened, so I'm just wondering.

EDIT: The Shining Force III soundtrack, which was also composed by Motoi Sakuraba, seems to be classified the same way. Maybe this is just a trend with the releases of his earlier music?

The same thing happened on Beyond The Beyond. I expect a Golden Sun soundtrack will be like this, too, if ever released.

More likely it's Masaaki Uno's doing (he is coordinator and sound director at Camelot, back at Wolfteam he was the sole composer before hiring Sakuraba for that job, there he realized a couple soundtracks in the beginning before stopping as well).

A Golden Sun Arranged Album by Motoi!?!? What a cruel world if we can't ever hear this.

edit: We should seriously start a huge rumor that this is being done. And maybe it would reach someone who can make it happen. VGM artists do pay attention to this site...

Maybe it will happen with the upcoming Golden Sun Dark Dawn (DS). Kahori Ezaki of Cocoebiz already tried to lobby for a soundtrack of Golden Sun, but it may have been too late after the game releases already and instead we got that Mario Sports CD in Nintendo Dreams (as Mario Tennis GC was around the corner at that time) and Golden Sun music arrangement and cameo in Smash Bros Brawl much later.

It's my impression that Sakuraba doesn't really care about soundtrack releases, but he does care about making more music (arrangements, sequels) so that may be why Camelot just skips the former (and why we had arranged music by Sakuraba turn up at unlikely places like pre-order bonus DVDs for Tales games).
