Er, there are no bonus tracks here... was this also a special promo item at Otakon?

Anyway, "Shackles of Night" was not at all what I was expecting it to be, but it's grown on me quite a bit. I prefer the "vocaloid" version, which features a modified, auto-tuned vocal by "Miku Hatsune". I can't really stand the original version sung by Shihori. Is it bad that a 'robot' can sing better than she can?

Also, "Antique Doll" was NOT composed by Kikuta, but Shihori. I've made this change.

So if you had to compare it with the other albums by Kikuta, which one has a similar style?

Hmm. "Shackles" is prog-rock, but all synthesized. Sound quality and instruments are similar to what we hear on the "The Mysterious Island of Souls" episodes from Lost Files and Alphabet Planet.

As for the composition itself, it's exactly what you'd expect of Kikuta prog-rock. It's more like Mysterious Island of Souls and Soukaigi than anything, but not as colorfully arranged, not as harmonically or melodically complex, and just simpler in general.

Oh wait, I added this album as a separate entry, since it didn't have bonus tracks either. Where the current tracklist came from? Who added that? oh...it's me!!??

Maybe I will delete this tracklist (those TBA tracks would have been canceled, after all). The catalog number also may not be SoN10.

OK. My copy is the CIAP-1002 one. I'm not too pleased those bonus tracks were canceled... they were advertised as "Hiroki Kikuta x Hiroaki Yura" collaborations, which would've meant Kikuta works that were performed live!

As I doubt there has ever been another printing with the bonus tracks, I deactivated ID 21812 and replaced the tracklist. Sorry for anybody who rated or put into your collection that entry. I'll use the slot for something else.
