I am dumb (I mean I don't know Japanese, lol), but doesn't 朱美 = Akemi. It at least shows that way here

Edit: hm, to make it seem as if I'm less of an idiot, I think whomever's idea it was to hire someone with identical name readings for the same series did it... just... to...

佐藤朱美 and 佐藤朱 seem to be different artists that share the same name. Not only do they have two seperate wikipedia entries (佐藤朱美 seems to have done only Fushigi Yuugi songs and ended her singing career shortly after the OVA), but several sites such as amazon.co.jp or uta-net lists 佐藤朱美 for the FY albums only.
