Would someone be able to translate the second disc? The first disc is an exact replica of the Sekaiju no MeiQ soundtrack.

For the new area, the game refers to it as Glaðsheimr so that should help with any possible translation headaches for that particular set (I believe 2) of tracks.

After listening to this, I hope the second and third games gets the Shin Sekaiju treatment.

I'm interested in this album, but could somebody who listened to this tell me if the music is done the same way as Etrian Odyssey IV's OST (i.e. live instrument samples)?

Yes, all the music is done in the same style as Etrian Odyssey IV. However, for the new music, there are also FM versions as well since the game lets you switch between FM and the live instrument soundtrack.

Don, thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I'll queue this album up for purchase soon.

A music rip has been up on Youtube for a couple weeks now, CDJapan and HMV have samples of only disc 1, a mostly fully band arranged version of SekaQ1 as mentioned before. I can confirm the SekaQIV "brazzy" "Scatter About" reprises in the game and here on disc 1, hopefully with a better (fixed) loop.

Norihiko Hibino is on here as a sax player -- his jazz-fusion rendition of the Ending tune from SekaQ1 sounds amazing. I wouldn't doubt all the same musicians -- we'll see when my copy arrives.

There is no more silence between the loops and the initial brass/bas opening is not present in the second loop so I'd say it has been fixed, or is at least better than the EO4 version. The second loop starts at 0:11 in the first loop.

I'll check out CDJapan for samples.

I translated it but within 10 mins, which means I didn't bother to consider what's the best for consistency or such (e.g. Town vs Townscape, Normal Case vs lowercase, etc.).
Quote:
01 the beginning of the end
02 townscape - preparation for tomorrow
03 labyrinth gladsheim
04 battlefield - furnace of war
05 recollection - solitude of millennium
06 disturbances - crimson blades
07 melancholy - one's own thoughts
08 labyrinth gladsheim - beats of time
09 final battle - fate of the world
10 epilogue of the history
11 sleepless battlefield
12 townscape - preparation for tomorrow (FM Ver.)
13 labyrinth gladsheim (FM Ver.)
14 battlefield - furnace of war (FM Ver.)
15 recollection - solitude of millennium (FM Ver.)
16 disturbances - crimson blades (FM Ver.)
17 melancholy - one's own thoughts (FM Ver.)
18 labyrinth gladsheim - beats of time (FM Ver.)
19 final battle - fate of the world (FM Ver.)

Maybe I'd rather mind your not submitting it to here, so that more people can use a translation that is most likely better than anybody else's take, but of course submission is totally voluntary.

Credits from the inside of the cd case:

Quote:
Composer / Arranger Yuzo Koshiro

Violin 伊藤彩 (Ayako Ito)
柳原有弥 (Yuya Yanagihara)
Viola 菊地幹代 (Mikiyo Kikuchi)
堀沢真己 (Masami Horisawa)
Guitar 平野友義 (Tomoyoshi Hirano)
Guitar 和泉聡志 (Satoshi Izumi)
Trombone 五十嵐誠 (Makoto Igarashi)
Trumpet 川上鉄平 (Teppei Kawakami)
Saxophone 日比野則彦 (Norihiko Hibino)
Flute 太田朱美 (Akemi Ohta)
Drums 村上広樹 (Hiroki Murakami)
Bass 棚橋俊幸 (Toshiyuki Tanahashi)
Piano AYAKI
Keyboard 矢吹 卓 (Taku Yabuki)
I put a translation in yesterday when mine came in the mail. There's inconsistencies in the one that's posted here in the thread. No precedence for using non title case just because the one track in English is all lower. Also, all the previous albums used "blah - some more blah" even though the Japanese is "blah [space] some more blah", probably because it's the Japanese two byte space and there's no way to accurately reflect that in English without using a '-', etc. The tracklist also has the same [...] descriptors on all the tracks just like every other Sekaiju no MeiQ albums have but I haven't added them yet. They're just things like "[Stage 5]", etc.

The poor loop that plagued "Battlefield - Scatter About" was mostly patched here but rears it's ugly head again for the "Labyrinth II" track. It seems not all the tracks get loops either - majorly disappointed the funky jazz Town tune ends after a minute and a half.

An update regarding that "live" event. Could there be an arrange CD featuring the SQ FOE Band soon? Can anyone maybe clarify this? http://www.inside-games.jp/article/2.../16/68528.html

The original Labyrinth II does the same thing, although the silence is a bit longer on this version. Besides, during exploration that's not as bad. During battle, it's definitely more jarring.
