There are four samples on the main site now.
http://www.3d-heroes.net/main/ Sample 3 is giving off a Koshiro vibe to me, but I'd think they'd have announced his participation by now, if it was him. I absolutely love samples 2, 3, and 4. My other guess would be Takeshi Hama (since he did that other album that was pixelated...can't remember the name off hand). |

Tsutaya Online says "SuperSweep co., ltd." composed the music. Should they be added to the composer field until someone can find out more information?

Shoichiro Sakamoto definitely composed parts of the soundtrack, he states that on his official website. But there are more.

Pretty impressive stuff. I like the mixture of 8-bitish tunes.

I am shocked by how good this soundtrack is.

It's been a month, anyone got specific composition credits for this sucker yet? If you believe the internet, the game credits are: Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Yousuke Yasui, Shoichiro Sakamoto, Teruo Taniguchi, Takahiro Eguchi, Norihiro Furukawa. A couple of these folks have confirmed their participation on their websites (Sakamoto did, Furukawa apparently did ten tracks), but a breakdown is always nice.

to my knowledge, Shoichiro Sakamoto is the only one confirmed thus far. CHz, where did you see the Furukawa reference?
And has anyone seen end credits for the game yet? It comes out in the US in May, so unless they just say "SuperSweep" in the game credits, we'll find out there. |

Here is the game credit (an account of Nico Nico is required).
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8987509 (24:12~) Shinji Hosoe Ayako Saso Yousuke Yasui Shoichiro Sakamoto Teruo Taniguchi Takahiro Eguchi Norihiro Furukawa But some of them might be responsible only for sound effects. So we need to wonder if anyone has bought this soundtrack yet, as it came out last year... (but I guess the booklet just said SuperSweep...). |

Cedille... I don't remember my NND login info. But when it comes to their part of the staff roll, is there a header there that just generically says "sound" or "audio" ...? Or does it specify "music"?
Thanks for the link CHz. If we can't find anything definitive soon, it may just be worth listing the whole pile of people from the end credits on the soundtrack page. |

There's just a "Sound" heading that lists all 7 composers.

that's frustrating! Still though, I guess it'd be better to list more than less...?

Is Norihiro Furukawa not part of SuperSweep? It doesn't seem like it, and he's not listed under the unit, it's just that the way he was lumped in with the SuperSweep co.,ltd list makes it look like he is (very misleading if he's not).
Oh, and I just realized the booklet says Norihiro Hurukawa. Last edited by Medina; Jul 22, 2010 at 04:10 AM. |

Yousuke Yasui lists the game in his myspace as "[Arr]".
Ayako Saso's site has a "works" section up to 2010, which seems rather comprehensive. This game is actually unlisted there. As mentioned before Furukawa says he did 10 tracks. Shoichiro Sakano's site says he did BGM and SE, but seems like a small part ('other people were main composers'). That's all I could find. The booklet lists all of them as "music", but the lists look suspiciously similar to the game credits. I think it's possible they just copypasted the credits. |

Similar to Catherine, JASRAC has an official-ish English translation of the tracklist registered, which you can see on CD Japan.

I asked Furukawa which tracks he composed, and he listed 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 15~17, 21, 23~27, 29, 32, 34~38 as his tracks - 21 total, compared to above where he was said to have composed 10 tracks. He says he doesn't have any data left so he's just going off by memory, but I still trust his word since much of his tracks seem to lean towards the orchestral side mixed with beeps, with obvious Zelda inspiration. He seems to have composed in a large capacity for a few other 2000s SuperSweep games despite being a contractor, making me think he was often brought in to fill out soundtracks while others were busier with other projects.
EDIT 06/03: Shoichiro Sakamoto has also gotten back to me about his contributions. He claims 05, 09, 13, 21, 32, 33, 39 as his tracks. Note that Furukawa claimed 21 and 32 as well, but I believe Sakamoto more as they match his compositional and sound design style more, and Furukawa implied that he wasn't 100% sure on all of the ones he mentioned. So it's possible there's others he claimed that aren't his, but for now I'll let that slide. Last edited by fusoxide; Mar 6, 2024 at 01:24 PM. |
