"Nintendo Soundtrack Serie" seems to only be found on the tray, so I'm not sure it should be part of the display title.

Well, if you search for "Nintendo Soundtrack Serie" you'll find a few other NSS releases that doesn't have it labeled on the front. Should we remove it from all the other entries we have?

I vote for removing it, just for the fact it doesn't seem to be any sort of title and more of information mentioning Nintendo puts soundtracks and this is one of them.
The title looks more from the front to be like "It's a me, Mario! The Original Super Mario 64 Soundtrack" From the side "It's a me, Mario! Original Soundtrack" The First one comes on both the front and the disc so I think it has the most merit for being right. |

Ignore this post, it contains incorrect information. I'm clarifying two posts below.
So, I don't really know what's up with this. I thought there were two editions of this OST - the one for which scans were provided here on VGMdb, and another one that has a slightly different cd layout (a few gaps differ) and slightly different front cover (with an added yellow "Nintendo Power Prämie"-Sticker). I own both of these now. However, I just realized that my original print edition (which I assume it is; the same as on VGMdb at the moment) says 1996 on the disc, while the VGMdb scan says 1997 (that's why I redated this OST in the first place). So, I don't know, are there three prints, has one (or both) of my discs been mixed up, or maybe the one provided scans for? Anyway, should I add a reprint in this case, or just scan them in and add them as "alternative" scans to this release right here? And should we revert the redate back to 1996? How does the back scan on your album compare to this one?

Sorry, I screwed up there a little bit. I guess for the same reason this was originally listed under 1996. Both my CDs, and the VGMdb scans say "© 1996 Nintendo Co., Ltd. © 1997 Nintendo of Europe GmbH" on both the Disc and on the Back, it's the same for all three. I didn't check precisely enough and overlooked the second part about NoE. So 1997 should be correct here.
As for the CD Layout, it's also the same for both the CDs I own. I should have checked this first with my own discs instead of relying on the remote investigation I did with a Discogs user before posting. So yea, the CDs themselves are also identical. What remains is the front cover. This really seems to be the only difference there is. Should I add it to the scans (I already scanned it in though I'd rather wait until I got my new scanner, hehe)? I uploaded a resized version here. |

I think i would add the scan as an alternate for now, until we figure out more about how this was distributed.
