If you look at an album with multiple tracks, VEATP is used for the whole album and VE1TC is used for tracks.

If you check download links for the album it gives a redirect of http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/DR/VEATP-33555/iTS, but for the tracks it gives http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/DR/VE1TC-74720/iTS & http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/DR/VE1TC-74721/iTS and so on.

For this particular single both http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/DR/VE1TC-77134/iTS and http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/DR/VEATP-33847/iTS works.

So, separate catalog numbers for the AAC and FLAC releases + a separate catalog number for each track on those releases. That's a lot of catalog numbers...

And yeah, it would seem iTunes has made it harder to find their catalog numbers now.
