Default Old unlicensed albums released digitally with license – should new entries be made?

I was searching for The OneUps on Spotify and saw that all of their albums seem to be there. Even the old ones (like Volume 1), which were apparently released on CD without a license (they have the Publish Format set as "doujin/indie"). I asked The OneUps about this and they said they have licensing for all of their stuff on Spotify, which seems really easy nowadays with services like Soundrop.

I also stumbled upon this news on reddit, saying that a bunch of Touhou albums from different doujin circles will be released digitally (download-only in this case) with licensing taken care of.

My question is: should new entries be made for digital releases, when the Publish Format is "commercial" compared to the old release's "doujin/indie"?

I'd say it's better to simply leave a note on the album page rather than create what is essentially a duplicate entry.
