Default Split from WAYO-003~4: NI NO KUNI WRATH OF THE WHITE WITCH THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK

...you're a GENIUS. That's what I'm fucking SAYING. Studio Ghibli did the art for this game just like they did the art for Laputa. (And Hisaishi did the music for both, too, did you know that?)

Points for perceptiveness, LiquidAcid!

LiquidAcid, you do realize that Studio Ghibli is not the sole developer of this game, correct? You're acting like it's some obvious cause and effect that just because Studio Ghibli was involved in something that Hisaishi would automatically get to compose the music. Studio Ghibli co-developed this game with Level-5. That means I could have just as easily assumed that Tomohito Nishiura was doing the music for this game, because he's pretty much Level-5's chief composer (did you know that?). Hisaishi is not automatically the composer for this game like you imply with your post just because Studio Ghibli was involved, I was simply expressing that I am not surprised he is because they're involved, but oh, it could have been somebody else.

Seriously. Do you know anything about this game?

You're wrong. When the corporation between Level-5 and Ghibli started on this project, then Ghibli asked Hisaishi if he would compose for this game. He said yes, but under a few conditions. So here, the reason why Hisaishi composed the music, is because Ghibli was involved, period.

Yes, that's almost exactly what I was saying: it came as no surprise that because Ghibli is involved, Hisaishi was included as well (quote: "it's no wonder Hisaishi is part of the crew"). It's not guaranteed, though.

I said that twice, and that moron LiquidAcid failed to comprehend the English both times. *g*

P.S. It's one 'k' in Makyou =)

@dancey: In case this is aimed at me. Yes, I know this. And that's why I didn't say it. What I said, is that in this specific case (the context here is clear, since we're talking on this specific thread which is about a specific soundtrack) the reason for Hisaishi composing the music, is because Ghibli asked (and he accepted). I never said anything about every Ghibli product automatically getting a Hisaishi score.

IIRC his conditions included the use of the Tokyo Philharmonic orchestra and the retaining of the audio quality, which eventually lead to the catridge size of the DS game. You can probably look this up yourself.

I've split this group of posts from the original thread, since it's way too edgy and scandalous for an album discussion. Oh my!
