I add this album in particular for the discographies of Nobuo Yamada and Masanori Sasaji. At first glance it was an easy album to submit but not that much in fact.
M.T.FUJI is a LOUDNESS side project where all the musicians have fake names. It's kind of a supergroup with artists who come from different rock bands. They will only have released one album "HUMAN TRANSPORT" in 1983 before returning to their respective bands/projects. The real names of the musicians are indicated on various musical sites on the web, as well as on sales sites such as Yahoo Auction or Fanfan1: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands...uji/3540350232 https://www.discogs.com/fr/MT-Fuji-H...elease/7038098 https://www.fanfan1.com/products/detail/649326 But it is said on CD sales sites like Amazon that the identity of the musicians has never been officially revealed until today...: https://www.amazon.co.jp/HUMAN-TRANS.../dp/B008AYW8CG Well there is no doubt that the singer Allan is Nobuo Yamada, his voice is easily identifiable, plus Wonder Land is a song which appears on the MAKE-UP 20th Anniversary box... But I found an image with a different obi (https://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=474203) that says the presence of the musicians further down on the album. Since every musician only plays on one instrument, it's easy to know who's who: Dario De Parma = Akira Takasaki (LOUDNESS) at Guitar (and Chorus) (remark: Akira Takasaki would be a fan of Dario Argento and Brian De Palma movies?) Mark Striker = Masayoshi Yamashita (LOUDNESS) at Bass Brian Seoul = Tohru Hasebe (T-SQUARE) at Drums Contrary to what all the info sites indicate, this is not therefore the free-lance Soul Toul (or even less Munetaka Higuchi) on drums. His band's name スクウェア is also marked on the Obi, so it can only be T-SQUARE. This is the only artist who is different from what is advertised all over the internet music sites. Allan "Heaven" Kanzaki = Nobuo Yamada (MAKE-UP) at Vocals (nothing surprising for this one...) Martha Spielberg = Masanori Sasaji (NAZCA) at Keyboards There remains Minoru Niihara (LOUDNESS) written on the Obi which confirms his presence, surely for Chorus and Lyrics as Mick Josephine Wonder, although we can't say 100% that this is the correct nickname. Because there are indeed other unidentified nicknames on the album: Eve White again for the chorus (it should be Misako Honjoh friend of LOUDNESS according to the fan sites), Rahja Maicar who made the majority of the lyrics of the album, and Zephyr Grant, songwriter. I also give this link for this nice review of the album, even if the reviewer thinks it is Soul Toul playing drums: https://www.metal-archives.com/revie...nsport/348427/ For my part, this is a good hard rock / AOR album, with excellent tracks such as WONDER LAND, DRY SAND or IN THE UP NIGHT, that said Nobuo Yamada did much better with some MAKE-UP and GRAND PRIX albums, or his 1st solo album. After what adds to its value is its rarity, and the release on CD was an excellent initiative, but it is again out of print. |
