Default About the notes field for child albums.

The way it's set up now, the notes from a parent album are moved over automatically to any child albums. This is good, but the problem is that these notes aren't editable, which is a problem in cases where a note is only true for the parent album.

Example here. The note "The CD is contained in a hardcover book with a plastic cover. The hardcover book includes piano scores, notes for each piece, and black and white drawings by Yoshitaka Amano." is true only for the parent and not for two child albums.

Wouldn't it be more intuitive to have the notes move over automatically, but to also make them editable?

The whole reason for the notes moving over at all is so that when information is added to the parent album (such as artist track-by-track breakdowns), it will be automatically seen on the child albums as well.

There is no way to make the notes totally editable, and still propagate changes.

There are really only 3 solutions:

1. Make every notes field unique. Nothing is copied, and any information that is relevant to all child albums must be manually copied.

2. Add a second notes field for parent albums, so that stuff that is unique to the parent can be moved to that second field.

3. Leave things the way they are, and require people to use language that indicates they are talking about the parent album.

I think option 3 is best. People viewing the child album may also be interested in the differences with the parent album.
