Greetings,

I want to start a blog concerning video game music roots. Can you recommend me a platform with the largest audience in this regard?

Thanks

Sounds cool! The audience is something you'll have to build. You may be able to guest post on existing game music blogs.

On the technical side, WordPress or Medium are popular options for self-hosting a blog.

The blog has 19 entries now, but the audience is is still small. I wonder if I should stick only to the more popular games?

One common rule of Content Creation is that you can't alter your "formula" to chase the audience or cater to what you think people want.
You just need to be consistent in what YOUR formula is, and the proper audience will eventually find you.
That takes time, and lots of it. It take years to build anything, so keep a long-term mindset.

Good stuff, Desperado. Keep up the great work. Have you thought about social media to get more exposure?

Thank you, it is always nice to hear positive feedback.

I currently announce updates on reddits /r/gamemusic and occasionally post on ffshrine forums. I don't have a facebook etc. account.

If you have any proposals for communities where I find people that might be interested I would love to hear about it.

Just out of curiosity:

Is there any demand here left for the content I produce?

I do have a day job, thanks. I do not mind if you use my findings as long as you are non-commercial and give me credit.
