Not sure if we'll have to do separate entries for the different regions of the world.
The packaging looks similar but booklet or contents could be translated...

Here are the official pages, the game is coming the same day in every region:
NA
EU
JP

Either way, Helm of Light sold me on getting the game.

Isn't that a bit shallow, hmm? There's more to FFXIV than basic fan service!
I really, really hope they will release a full soundtrack.

Actually Eorzean Frontiers isn't complete. There's quite a bit of music as yet unreleased, both by Uematsu, from the original release of the game, and by the other composers who added stuff later. Even if they only put music that's not on the other albums on this CD they still wouldn't have enough room to cover it all. I anticipate a 4-6 disc (depending on looping) set to come sooner or later.

I mean a full soundtrack for A Realm Reborn, the new version of the game. Masayoshi Soken composed a completely new soundtrack for this and it sounds very promising based on early samples.

For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JQ87KtH1G8

I was under the impression that Mizuta and other composers also had a hand in ARR's new music.

Details are still unclear... also, they will be reusing a number of tracks from Uematsu's original score, and he will be contributing a few more as well.

can't speak in his stead, but I think he meant a CD release not a blu-ray one
not sure that sort of releases are popular (well sold)

Yeah so this is a soundtrack for FFXIV 1.0 only... Since it has a lot of music (probably enough to have 5, 6 discs or even more) I guess they decided Music Blu-ray was the only solution, huh? Maybe it will have a code for digital download.

As far as I see, Soken is the only composer listed in the somewhat slim sound division of the somewhat long staff credit.
Spoiler:

I wonder why they aren't on later releases

They are not exclusives, they just don't have the same name and length (they don't end the same way).

The Navigator's Veil => I Am the Sea
Jewel of the Desert => A New Hope

Hi guys, I want to reopen the debate about the difference bewtween regions. I've got both Euroepan and Japanese realease of this CD, and they're different. European looks exactly like Australian (this has sense because both are PAL regions). European comes in single format with plastic case.

In the other hand, japanese version comes in cardboard case and the back is identic to US version.

Maybe we should specify this (Japanese and US are the same and European and Australian are the same).

What do you think?

This may be a misprint, but my copy of the album has its catalog number as "SQEX-AARCD" (AAR rather than ARR). It is visible this way on both the album's back cover and the front of the disc, although I don't see it printed or etched anywhere else.
