Any more news on this, I have the original release which I love. Also curious if there is any hints of a Vinyl Edition - I guess this was not the case with previous RR Anniversary releases?

The release of this album was delayed by one month. I've updated the album page.

ViviGamer, if it's like the past releases, the first disc will be a remastered version of the R4 soundtrack and the second disc will feature all the remixes. I don't think there are any plans for a vinyl release.

On their international store page, it says:

2 music CDs / 8 P booklet + More Extras CDs

I presume there will be a bonus DJ mix, like with past releases, it just hasn't been finalized yet on the album page on their website.

Just wanted to give you on update re: no Asuka Sakai.

The reason she isn't featured on this album or the previous anniversary album is the fact that she is retired from doing music work and lives in the US now. I asked about it last time I had a chance to speak with Supersweep.

Shame there's no Koji Nakagawa either; I enjoy his abstract techno tracks. Guess he's too busy with IDOLM@STER stuff, which is a shame since it kinda feels like a waste of talent to me.

So disc 2 seems to be the original unaltered tracks and not a light remix like Rage Racer this time? I hope they fix the little irks I had with the original release (some tracks like The Ride and The Objective fading out before a full clean loop, Burnin Rubber and Revlimit Funk being stuck together Etc). It would be nice to have the actual in game versions of On Your Way and Garage Talk too as both of those were light remixes on the original release (possibly because they are both sequenced tracks in the game IIRC?)

why they skip that SRNS-2003 or is that just taken for other title...

"r4" is too short to even search
why isn't "Ridge Racer Type 4" part of the title? it's right there in big letters.

Maybe because it doesn't appear on the spine? But I agree, it should be included at least as an alternative title. I went ahead and made an edit with some comments, let's see how it will end up after the edit has been approved.
