D28G-0087: Vampire Miyu Music Compilation

Hi,

I've recently submitted another price for this soundtrack (¥ 2,627), which was approved by Secret Squirrel.

Then Phonograph changed back to its original value (¥ 2,800).

I was wondering why. Then checked already posted picture of obi, where it is printed ¥ 2,800 on the lower part.

What's funny is that there is really a ¥ 2,627 price on the market. So far, I've never heard of the ¥ 2,800 price tag before.

Here's the proof of the "other" price tag from my own CD (sorry no good quality):



Also, a quick search on auctions does not confirm ¥ 2,800 price tag so far (as of today):

I don't see why it'd be funny
the 2627 yens price is from the reprint of this album with the taxation (they normally keep the same contents tho)

2800 yens is the price of the original release without taxation (before october 1989, maybe)
the 28 in D28G-0087 isn't decorative, it informs about the price (like a lot of albums released at this time)

The 3% tax rate change was effective on 1st April 1989. Prior to that it was 2.2%.

If you keep it like that for this CD, then you must change price for some other Pony-Canyon releases here at VGMdb that are also reprints like http://vgmdb.net/album/728

before 1989, there was no consumption tax in japan
created in 1989 at 3%, april 1997 at 5%, april 2014 at 8%, then october 2015 at 10%

since you're new here you probably don't know but some months ago I changed a lot of erronous prices
I thought I had finished but I guess I must make further searches in the database
