Since his artist name is TECHNOuchi in Latin script (see https://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=52505 and other countless examples), the katakana name should be added as a alias. The way you did it all credits for TECHNOuchi would be incorrectly displayed as テクノウチ with the Original Language option.

It sounds like what you suggest would result in a need for a lot of duplicate aliases, one with only the latin version of the name and another with the latin and Japanese. I'm not sure it's worth the bother to treat aliases differently from regular names in this regard, though it highlights a possible weakness in the system.

Regular names are not treated differently though.

See the following artists which use their regular name in Latin script as an artist name:
Kei Nakamura https://vgmdb.net/artist/16021
KOHTA YAMAMOTO https://vgmdb.net/artist/17446
TAKU INOUE https://vgmdb.net/artist/9537
Masayoshi Minoshima https://vgmdb.net/artist/1924

Like TECHNOuchi, these are all artists who intentionally use a Latin script name for their artist name (as opposed to the entire booklet being in English).

Not many artists use intentionally romanized names like these, so I don't believe it results in many extra entries.
